The Challenge

The client managed project documentation within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), but their client required deliverables to be submitted via SharePoint.
This created a manual, repetitive process involving:

  • Downloading files from ACC
  • Uploading them to the client’s SharePoint
  • Manually re-entering over 10 metadata fields per file

This workflow was time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient—especially when scaled across multiple projects and delivery milestones.

The Solution

Accord developed an automated interface between ACC and the client’s SharePoint environment. The solution:

  • Utilised a Custom Connector leveraging ACC’s APIs to identify and extract files marked as ready for delivery
  • Applied qualifying criteria to ensure only appropriate files were transferred
  • Used SharePoint HTTP API methods to upload files and populate all required metadata fields automatically
  • Sent automated notifications to relevant stakeholders upon successful or failed deliveries
