Power Platform has had a huge impact on business process automation and its augmentation with AI and Copilot has elevated it into new heights. Automating Questionnaire Processing with Power Platform

The Challenge

Our client conducts multiple business awareness training sessions annually. Each attendee must complete a pre-session questionnaire consisting of 60 questions across 6 categories. Previously, the process involved:

  1. Distributing an Excel-based questionnaire via email.
  2. Attendees returning completed files to the coordinator.
  3. Manual parsing of responses into a scoring calculator.
  4. Forwarding scores to the marketing team.
  5. Marketing creating individual graphs for each attendee.

This manual workflow was time-intensive, requiring approximately two days of effort per session.

The Solution

Accord implemented a streamlined solution using Microsoft Power Platform:

  • Microsoft Forms: Attendees complete the questionnaire online.
  • Power Automate: Automatically stores responses in a centralised location (e.g., SharePoint or Dataverse).
  • Power BI: Performs scoring calculations and generates high-quality graphs.
  • Marketing Team: Exports clear, concise graphs with minimal manual input.

This automation has saved an estimated 2 days per session, totalling 4 days annually across two sessions.
